About the role
The position is for a Plumber/Mechanical Engineer working primarily at Lewisham Hospital from October to March and then on a mobile basis. It is a permanent, full‑time role (08:00‑17:00, Monday‑Friday) based in London.
Key responsibilities
- Perform plumbing duties and leak detection across hospital and commercial sites.
- Maintain accurate stock records and keep a PDA updated.
- Survey jobs and inform the team leader of required materials.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety obligations during maintenance activities.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of commercial plumbing experience in settings such as hospitals, schools or offices.
- Sound knowledge of plumbing systems, leak detection and relevant health and safety standards.
- Proven trade training (NVQ/C&G) and, preferably, an IPAF 3a/3b ticket.
- Good basic education with strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure, provide flexible cover and pass an enhanced DBS check.
