Real Estate Director – Commercial Property Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking a senior commercial property solicitor to join our Manchester office as Real Estate Director. The role offers a platform to shape and grow a commercial property practice with full backing from a well‑established professional services group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the commercial property team, setting strategy and direction.
• Advise on acquisitions, disposals, landlord‑tenant matters, commercial leases and licences.
• Manage portfolio and property finance transactions.
• Provide real‑estate support on corporate deals, including M&A and demergers.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development and networking activities.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Approximately 8+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial property.
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of real‑estate matters.
• Experience supporting corporate transactions from a real‑estate perspective.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers.
• Commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
