About the role
JTL is seeking a full‑time Administrator / Receptionist to provide essential administrative and front‑desk support for its Tyneside training centre and the wider Northeast region. The role involves managing timetables, handling calls, and ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and apprentices.
Key responsibilities
- Provide general administration support for the centre and staff.
- Manage timetabling systems, workshop, classroom and meeting‑room bookings.
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Welcome and assist visitors, creating a positive first impression.
- Maintain a safe, secure centre environment and follow relevant policies.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post as directed by the Centre Manager.
- Coordinate exam bookings, room allocations and invigilator arrangements.
- Update centre diaries and manage stationery and stock levels.
- Open and close the centre when required.
- Keep apprentice tracking documents up to date and process invoicing and purchase orders.
Required profile
- GCSE Maths and English (grade A‑C) or equivalent.
- Good IT proficiency.
- Strong organisational abilities.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Customer‑facing skills.
- Desirable: previous administration experience.
Required skills
- IT skills (general computer literacy).
