About the role
Alleyn's School is looking for a Graduate Director in Residence to join its vibrant Drama department for one academic year. This part‑time, term‑time position is ideal for a recent university graduate who wishes to develop a career in theatre or drama teaching while maintaining industry links.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in delivering co‑curricular drama activities across the school.
- Provide practical support and guidance to A‑level and GCSE drama students.
- Bring current industry experience into the classroom and share best practices with staff and pupils.
- Collaborate with the Drama department to plan and execute productions and workshops.
Required profile
- Recent university graduate with a strong passion for theatre.
- Excellent theatre‑making abilities, including acting, directing or production experience.
- Ability to work flexibly within a portfolio career and adapt to term‑time scheduling.
- Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
