Acoustic Consultant / Technician – Birmingham & Midlands

About the role

We are a fast‑growing acoustic consultancy seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Birmingham and the wider Midlands. The position is primarily home‑based, with regular travel to client sites for noise surveys and assessments. You will be involved in all stages of acoustic projects, from data collection to delivering recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct acoustic assessments and noise measurements across various environments.
• Analyse acoustic data and produce recommendations for noise mitigation.
• Design and implement noise control solutions for clients.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and multidisciplinary teams to meet acoustic requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on acoustic regulations and standards.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients.
• Answer client enquiries, prepare quotations and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (significant travel required).
• Self‑disciplined, highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Science or engineering background preferred, but not mandatory for the right attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
