AI Tooling Governance & Adoption Manager

About the role

This newly created position will lead the design and implementation of AI governance and adoption across a fast‑growing organisation. Working from Basingstoke, you will partner with legal, compliance, security, HR and finance to embed responsible AI practices while driving value from emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Manage the full lifecycle of AI tools – evaluation, approval, deployment, monitoring and retirement.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, HR, Finance and business units to ensure responsible AI usage.
• Oversee AI tooling budgets, vendor relationships, licence management and procurement.
• Drive organisation‑wide adoption through training programmes, internal communications and usage analytics.
• Produce executive reports on adoption rates, spend, risk and overall AI performance.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in technology governance, SaaS operations or programme management.
• Proven track record managing enterprise software or technology platforms throughout their lifecycle.
• Knowledge of AI tools, large language models and associated governance and security considerations.
• Ability to influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting and reporting skills.
