Area Sales Manager – Roofing Materials & Accessories

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Area Sales Manager to promote a leading range of roofing membranes, dry‑fix systems and ventilation solutions across the South East and South Central regions. You will manage an established portfolio of national and independent merchants while expanding product awareness among roofing contractors and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and independent builders' and roofing merchants.
• Deliver product training, trade days and toolbox talks to increase sales.
• Conduct dual visits with merchants and influence roofing contractors and developers.
• Back‑sell all business through your account base and achieve sales targets.
• Provide market feedback to support product development and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven field sales experience, preferably within the construction sector.
• Experience selling through merchants and distributors is advantageous.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven with strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Stable career history and desire to build a long‑term career in construction sales.

Required skills

What we offer

• £45,000‑£50,000 basic salary plus uncapped commission (£12k+ annually).
• Realistic monthly commission of £1k‑£2k once established.
• Car allowance, laptop, mobile phone and pension scheme.
• Territory covering South East & South Central, based centrally between the M4/M25 and Birmingham.
