Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Construction & Fit‑Out

About the role

Join a respected London‑based construction and fit‑out specialist as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. You will support the commercial team throughout refurbishment and fit‑out projects, from initial cost planning to final account settlement, gaining hands‑on experience across all project stages.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tender documentation and procurement of subcontractors.
• Support cost planning, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Collaborate with Senior Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and clients to ensure project financials are on track.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs and commercial data.

Required profile

• Based in London or within a 45‑minute commute.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of profit and loss.
• Good grasp of construction and cost‑management principles.
• Degree qualified (or studying) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to construction or fit‑out projects, CAT A/CAT B work or JCT contracts is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
