Audit & Accounts Senior – Chelmsford

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Chelmsford. This permanent, full‑time position offers a supportive environment for a qualified professional ready to advance their career.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits from planning through completion, liaising with clients and managing the audit team.
• Prepare financial statements in line with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
• Review junior staff work, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring service meets firm quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to practice development through networking and business development activities.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ audit and accountancy experience within a practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
