Cost Manager – Construction Projects (Hybrid, Cardiff)

About the role

The Cost Manager will join RLB’s Cost Management team in Cardiff, working on a variety of construction projects from initial design through to completion and post‑completion phases. The role offers hybrid working and client‑facing responsibilities across residential, higher education, infrastructure and listed building sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage project costs from design through construction and into operation.
• Provide technical cost advice and deliver high‑quality cost estimates for diverse building projects.
• Maintain and develop client accounts, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and commercial results.

Required profile

• Proven technical delivery experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager role within a consultancy environment.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related RICS‑accredited discipline.
• Client‑facing experience with strong stakeholder management and a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Cost estimating and cost control.
• Quantity surveying techniques.
