Customer Service Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

A part-time Customer Service Associate in Manchester works as part of a team to manage the day-to-day running of a property and its community, covering marketing, building maintenance and tenancy administration. The aim is to deliver an excellent resident experience and help achieve occupancy and retention goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver front-of-house customer service, responding positively to queries and complaints in line with the complaints procedure.
• Support events and activities within the community and build relationships with university clients.
• Log maintenance requests, file documents, prepare notices, update databases and raise purchase orders.
• Carry out marketing and sales and leasing activities, including open days, leafleting, viewings and follow-up on enquiries.
• Assist with summer community preparations, including move-in and move-out processes.
• Pursue outstanding rent arrears, promote tenancy extensions and other revenue streams, and ensure tenant refunds are handled promptly.
• Complete health and safety compliance activities and take part in an on-call roster for out-of-hours emergency support.
• Maximise the efficiency of utilities.

Required profile

• Good level of general education and fluent English, spoken and written.
• Significant experience in a customer-facing service delivery role and excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of UK Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
• Ability to work autonomously, multi-task and prioritise, and to adapt communication to different audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with databases or booking systems; training is provided for in-house systems.
