Electrician – Solar Training & Career Progression

About the role
We are looking for a qualified electrician (NVQ Level 2 or 3) to join a leading renewable‑energy specialist. The role is field‑based, covering Birmingham and surrounding areas, and offers full training into commercial solar installations with a clear path to a Lead Electrician position.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out full electrical installation on large‑scale commercial solar projects from start to finish.
- Travel to sites across the UK, including Birmingham, Telford, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Peterborough, Kettering and Northampton.
- Work on‑site alongside project teams, adhering to health and safety standards.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualified electrician.
- Willingness to undertake training in solar PV systems (NVQ Level 3, AM2 & BPEC Solar).
- Own vehicle and ability to travel to regional sites.

What we offer
- Salary £35,000‑£45,000 per year.
- Progression to Lead Electrician.
- Overtime/overnight allowance, pension and bonus scheme.
- Mileage reimbursement at 30p per mile (no company vehicle).
