Employee Relations Specialist – HR Advisor (Remote, UK)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist / HR Advisor to support a busy HR function for a well‑established organisation. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to offices in the North West or Midlands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases.
• Advise managers on complex employee relations issues.
• Support long‑term sickness and employee wellbeing cases.
• Coach managers to improve people‑management capability.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
• Contribute to wider HR initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or Employee Relations Specialist.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven ability to manage complex ER cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to influence and coach managers.
• Experience in manufacturing or high‑volume sectors is advantageous.
• CIPD qualification desirable.
