Engineer Surveyor – Lift & Crane (NE London)

About the role

Zurich Engineering is expanding its field‑based Engineer Surveyor team in North East London. The role can be part‑time, job‑share or full‑time and involves travelling to client sites to carry out lift and crane inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Perform statutory inspections of lifts, cranes and related equipment on client sites.
• Provide expert engineering opinions to ensure compliance with legislation and client standards.
• Record inspection results on a rugged laptop and issue electronic reports to clients.

Required profile

• Level 4 engineering qualification (HND/HNC) or equivalent, with hands‑on experience in a relevant discipline.
• Background working with lifts and/or crane equipment, preferably in manufacturing, repair or maintenance.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to work paid overtime.

Required skills

• IT skills for electronic reporting and data entry using a laptop.
• Technical knowledge of lift and crane systems.
