About the role
Thermoseal is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join its growing glass‑industry team in Wigan. You will work on modern profile extrusion lines, contributing to increased capacity and meeting rising demand.
Key responsibilities
- Run various extrusion lines on a rotating shift schedule.
- Perform tool changes and carry out basic machine maintenance.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the shift.
- Follow health and safety procedures and company policies.
Required profile
- Proficient in English.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
- NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations (advantageous).
- Minimum one year of experience operating factory machinery.
Required skills
- Extrusion line operation.
- Tool change procedures.
- Basic machine maintenance.
- Quality control inspection.
What we offer
- Salary £31,414 – £33,142 per year (£16.11 per hour based on 37.5‑hour week).
- 5.5% discretionary bonus plus profit‑related bonus.

- 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
- Rotating shifts: 6 am‑2 pm / 2 pm‑10 pm, Monday‑Friday.
