Field Service Engineer – Industrial (East Midlands)

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join Bizerba (UK) Ltd in the East Midlands. You will be the primary point of contact for retail customers, delivering on‑site installation, maintenance and repair of our industrial weighing and labelling equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform prompt on‑site installation, maintenance and repair of Bizerba industrial weighing and labelling systems across retail environments.
• Diagnose technical faults accurately, applying electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to minimise equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with the service team and customer support to ensure seamless communication and high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed service records, reports and documentation in line with company procedures.
• Provide customer training and technical advice to improve product utilisation.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical role, preferably within retail or industrial weighing and labelling.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities and a solid understanding of industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the East Midlands.
• Excellent communication and customer‑focused attitude.
• Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ, HNC or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering are advantageous.
• Experience with remote diagnostics and basic IT skills are a plus.
