Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a high‑growth, consumer‑facing business to add a Group Financial Controller to its leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own the Group’s financial control environment, reporting processes and finance operations while supporting a period of rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of six professionals.
• Own month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce monthly management accounts, board packs and KPI dashboards.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and maintain balance‑sheet integrity.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audit coordination and tax compliance.
• Drive improvements in finance systems, controls, automation and reporting.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to enhance performance and decision‑making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning activities.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Proven experience leading finance teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong expertise in financial control, reporting and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Track record of improving processes, systems and controls within a growing business.
• Collaborative, commercially‑minded approach.
• Experience in consumer brands, retail, e‑commerce, hospitality, FMCG or multi‑site environments is a plus.
