About the role
The Homelessness Housing Coordinator will join the Initial Assessment Team in Enfield, working across the service to prevent homelessness through early intervention and effective case management. This hybrid role combines office‑based work with occasional field visits to support vulnerable households.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial homelessness assessments for individuals and families.
- Provide advice on welfare benefits and the Homelessness Reduction Act.
- Navigate housing and homelessness policy, legislation, case law and best practice to inform decisions.
- Assist clients through court processes, possession orders and evictions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver timely interventions.
Required profile
- Experience conducting initial homelessness assessments.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits and the Homelessness Reduction Act.
- Understanding of housing policy, legislation, case law and best practice.
- Familiarity with court processes related to possession orders and evictions.
