Housing Officer – Supported Housing (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Housing Officer to join a specialist supported‑housing provider on a permanent basis. The postholder will help service users maintain their tenancies and work towards independent living goals while covering properties across North London, Essex and Hertfordshire.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a customer‑focused service, meet performance targets and minimise void periods.
• Prepare tenancy agreements and information packs for new tenants.
• Complete and submit Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit forms and obtain council acceptance.
• Provide expert advice on rents and housing benefits to scheme staff.
• Liaise with area surveyors and scheme staff to share information or advice.
• Review needs and risk assessments related to housing management tasks.

Required profile

• Full UK clean driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Experience in a supported‑living environment or social‑housing setting.
