IT Technician – Part‑time (20 hrs) – London

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Technician to deliver high‑quality, face‑to‑face IT services to students and staff across our London campuses. Working evenings and weekends, you will ensure that learning and administrative activities run without interruption by providing first‑line technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site IT support to students and staff on a 20‑hour weekly schedule.
• Move, set up and configure audio‑visual and IT equipment as required.
• Install and configure PCs/laptops, operating systems, software and drivers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues, applying corrective actions or escalating when necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of loaned equipment, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Follow best‑practice guidelines to ensure network and data security and privacy.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of internet security and data‑privacy principles (e.g., CompTIA Network+ and Security+).
• Hands‑on experience with OS installation, software deployment, computer networking, and network administration.
• Experience delivering IT support both in person and remotely (phone, chat).
• Familiarity with service‑management systems and ITIL best practices.
• Understanding of technical management, hardware/software systems, and programming concepts.
