L1 IT Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced L1 IT Support Specialist to join our onsite workplace technology support team. The role involves being the first point of contact for employee IT requests, providing prompt and friendly assistance, and ensuring a smooth technology experience across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact for all employee IT support tickets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding, including account creation and equipment provisioning.
• Support laptops, printers, mobile devices, and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365.
• Escalate complex problems to senior support teams when needed.
• Document incidents, requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Follow established IT processes, security guidelines and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Reliable, professional and proactive with a strong customer‑service mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritize tasks and work collaboratively.
• Willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge.

Required skills

• Good understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals and workplace devices.
• Understanding of passwords, user accounts, Wi‑Fi, printers and software installation.
• Experience with ticketing systems (preferred).
