Medical Affairs Partner - Obesity & Weight Management (Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism)

About the role

Roche is hiring a Medical Affairs Partner for its Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism (CVRM) team in the UK, focused on obesity and weight management. It is a hybrid role combining the field engagement of a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with the internal remit of a Medical Advisor. The position starts one to two years before launch, mapping the UK obesity landscape and building scientific relationships so that new options can reach patients as soon as they are available.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders across obesity, weight management and the wider cardiometabolic landscape.
• Act as an external field liaison and an internal strategic advisor, translating complex evidence into medical value for customers and patients.
• Create and adapt high-quality, compliant medical and scientific materials largely independently.
• Map the external scientific landscape and generate insights that shape medical and squad priorities.
• Safeguard compliance, ethics and patient safety, putting patients at the centre of every action.
• Collaborate across teams to remove silos and duplication, and coach and support colleagues as the team grows.

Required profile

• A life-sciences, pharmacy or medical qualification with strong scientific credibility.
• Proven experience in medical affairs, ideally as both a Medical Science Liaison and a Medical Advisor.
• Demonstrable experience in obesity / weight management or an adjacent cardiometabolic therapy area.
• Confident, self-sufficient operator who structures their own priorities and delivers with minimal support.
• Sound working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice.
• Preferred: experience mentoring or coaching colleagues, and experience in agile, squad-based or self-managed team environments.
