Operations Accountant

About the role

This full‑time Operations Accountant position is based in Banbury and will provide key financial insights to support strategic decision‑making. You will work within a medium‑sized, reputable organisation focused on operational excellence and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close, performing accruals, cost‑centre reviews and key control checks.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance against budgets and targets.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial planning.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business initiatives.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience within the accounting and finance sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial reports.
