Part-time Housekeeper (Cambridge)

About the role

Join a friendly housekeeping team at a college in Cambridge, providing a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This part‑time, permanent position offers a stable schedule and the chance to work across several campus sites.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare student bedrooms, guest rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
• Make beds and set up rooms for arriving students, conference delegates and guests.
• Maintain offices, stairways, corridors and public spaces according to cleaning schedules.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and monitor stock levels.
• Report maintenance issues, damages and health & safety concerns promptly.
• Provide cover for colleagues during leave or sickness and work occasional evenings or weekends.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a hotel, college or similar setting (desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
