People and Culture Coordinator
Greyparrot · London
Job description
About the role
Greyparrot, a fast-growing team of around 60 people across the UK and Europe using AI waste analytics, is hiring a People and Culture Coordinator reporting to the Head of People. The company is moving to become remote-first, with a small London coworking space; you will join in person for all-hands, customer meetings and key events, or more often if you wish. Hours are open to 4 or 5 days per week.
You will shape how employees across the UK and Europe experience the company, from their first day to their last, and help build a People function that scales with the business.
Key responsibilities
- Create an environment where the team can do its best work, wherever it is, and own how the remote-first team connects
- Make sure every moment together counts: All Hands, cross-team workshops, retros, the annual retreat and monthly London lunches
- Help new starters feel welcome and get up to speed quickly, and look after people at important moments
- Run events, workshops, retros and gatherings, and gather feedback and data (such as survey results and retention figures) to drive visible change
Required profile
- At least 3 years in People, HR or employee experience, ready to own the employee experience at a growing company
- Experience running People processes across the employee journey, from onboarding and benefits admin to exit interviews, ideally in an HRIS (the company uses HiBob)
- Experience planning or running team events, workshops, retros or gatherings
- Experience in a remote-first or distributed team, with ideas for keeping people connected across teams, locations and time zones
- Experience developing or improving a process, and using feedback and data to decide what to change
Required skills
- Customer champion: understanding team needs, communicating clearly and managing expectations honestly
- Impact: treating outcomes as yours and escalating issues that need attention
- Agility: adapting your approach as needs change
- Integrity: owning mistakes and asking for support
- Curiosity: constantly looking for ways to improve employee experience
