Primary Supply Teacher – September Start

About the role

We are seeking Primary Supply Teachers to cover classes from Reception to Year 6 across a variety of schools in Colchester and the surrounding area, starting in September 2026. The role is day‑to‑day, with the possibility of longer‑term assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the planned curriculum for assigned year groups.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and a safe learning environment.
• Follow each school’s policies, safeguarding procedures and assessment standards.
• Provide continuity of learning during teacher absence or short‑term cover.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, EYTS or equivalent.
• Recent safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references related to child work.

Required skills

• Strong classroom behaviour management.
• Passion for teaching and supporting pupils.
