Project Manager – Aviation & Advanced Engineering

About the role

Our client, a leading defence and advanced engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple technically complex projects focused on uncrewed air systems and cutting‑edge aviation technologies. You will own the full project lifecycle, from initiation through delivery, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and on‑time, on‑budget outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of several concurrent technical projects, managing scope, cost, schedule and quality.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource forecasts and milestone schedules.
• Control project budgets, monitor expenditures and produce financial reports.
• Coordinate cross‑functional engineering, operational and commercial teams.
• Manage supplier performance, procurement activities and supply‑chain logistics.
• Engage with customers, internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in aviation, aerospace, defence or a related engineering environment.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex engineering deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a regulated setting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
