Project Manager – Minor Connections (Aberdeen)

About the role

SSEN Distribution is seeking a Minor Connections Project Manager to develop, refine and execute new projects within the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire area. The role combines office‑based work in Aberdeen with remote working, requiring up to 50 % of the week on site.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe delivery of projects to programme, cost and quality targets using robust project systems.
• Lead project outputs, managing internal and external stakeholders and coordinating with design, engineering, planning, environmental and consent teams.
• Support customers and delivery partners, facilitate site meetings and drive efficient project progress.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance profitability and service quality.
• Apply Safety Management Systems, CDM regulations and governance processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in people and customer management, delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Track record of meeting timelines, quality and cost targets with accurate reporting of progress and financial performance.
• Experience developing project programmes, cost plans and resource schedules.
• Working knowledge of a regulated environment, preferably within electricity or utilities.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across locations.

Required skills

• Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM).
• Knowledge of LV, 11kV and 33kV network systems (advantageous).
