Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (RMET)

About the role

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon keeps critical warehouse machinery running safely and efficiently. As an RME Technician you will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of equipment, supporting a high‑availability environment while adhering to strict health‑and‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance on diverse site equipment.
• Perform reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
• Utilise the latest tools and techniques to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
• Support the development and progression of on‑site apprentices.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects and roll out best practices across EU sites.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics, or completion of a 4‑year UK‑certified apprenticeship.
• Qualified engineer with relevant mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written).
