Remote Accountant – Payroll & Finance (up to £42k)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Accountant to manage payroll and finance activities for an international business across EMEA and APAC. The role involves supporting monthly payroll processing, financial reporting and compliance in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly payroll processing across EMEA and APAC regions
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, journals and accruals
• Review payroll data, investigate variances and ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and external payroll providers
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end finance activities
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger records and post journals
• Support audits and ensure international compliance requirements are met

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Payroll or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in payroll, accounting or finance (advantageous)
• Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
