Science Teacher – Secondary School (KS3/KS4) – Colchester

About the role

Protocol Education is partnering with a well‑established secondary school in the heart of Colchester to recruit a qualified Science Teacher. The role starts in January and involves delivering engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry or Physics for KS3 and KS4.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support their progression.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Strong subject knowledge in at least one Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 curricula.
• Dynamic, engaging teaching style with a passion for inspiring young learners.
