Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a leading music‑industry organisation in London. The role combines full‑cycle financial stewardship with a strategic transformation agenda, reporting to the Finance Director and presenting to the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, year‑end) and balance‑sheet governance.
• Prepare statutory, regulatory and board‑level financial reports under UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Ensure audit readiness and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital and tax compliance.
• Lead and develop a small finance team, deputising for the Finance Director as required.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including new systems and processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven senior controllership experience in a UK‑based organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence at Board and senior stakeholder level.
• Track record of leading high‑performing finance teams.

Required skills

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, UK GAAP and IFRS.
• In‑depth understanding of UK tax regulations.
• Expertise in financial reporting and audit processes.
