Site Manager – Construction Refurbishment

About the role

Our client, a multi‑disciplined construction firm operating across the Northwest, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee live refurbishment projects. The role involves managing sites in sectors such as education, health, and student accommodation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site activities for refurbishment projects valued at £1m+.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel across multiple locations.
• Monitor progress, quality, health and safety compliance, and report to senior management.
• Ensure site documentation, risk assessments and method statements are up to date.
• Travel across the Northwest to supervise several projects simultaneously.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on live construction or refurbishment sites.
• Demonstrated delivery of school refurbishment projects exceeding £1 million.
• SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
• First Aid certification (minimum), Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness and Working at Heights training.
• DBS check preferred.
