About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Tonbridge. The role focuses on supporting students with special educational needs, delivering one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to create an inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with SEN within the classroom
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions
- Help pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Support academic progress and personal development
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive environment
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Experience delivering interventions or targeted support
- Caring, patient, and approachable attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideally holds a degree in a core or social science subject
