Town Planner – Truro

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplined consultancy that delivers award‑winning expertise to residential and commercial sectors. The team is seeking a talented and experienced Town Planner to hit the ground running in their Truro office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide planning advice to clients across a range of development sectors.
• Undertake planning appraisals and assess development potential of sites.
• Prepare, coordinate and submit planning applications and associated documentation.
• Manage a varied caseload of projects, from bespoke schemes to large, complex developments.
• Research planning policy, legislation and relevant guidance, and produce planning statements and reports.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, consultants and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning, Planning, Geography or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience as a Town Planner within a planning consultancy, local authority or property environment.
• Good working knowledge of the UK planning system and development management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organisational abilities.
• Commercially aware, client‑focused approach and strong attention to detail.
