Vehicle Technician – After‑sales Service Role

About the role

Our client, a busy main dealer in Milton Keynes, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their after‑sales team. The position offers a clear progression path towards supervisory and managerial roles within a respected automotive brand.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards and timings.
• Produce accurate diagnostic reports and document all work carried out.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor junior technicians and support team development.
• Develop towards Assistant Manager duties as experience grows.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience in a prestige dealership or similar setting.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and excellent customer service standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Diagnostic troubleshooting.
• High‑Voltage EV/Hybrid system knowledge (preferred).
