2nd line IT Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a 2nd line IT Support Technician to join a leading independent technology and services provider. The position is based on‑site in Carterton, supporting the Maidenhead hub, and focuses on laptop deployments, device configuration and updating asset records while assisting users during setup.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ticket queues for the Hub and surrounding spokes, ensuring timely updates and call handling.
• Handle hub stock and asset management, scanning items in and out of locations.
• Process disposals and maintain compliance with contract requirements.
• Triage and perform hardware repairs within warranty kits, liaising with vendors for parts and returns.
• Replenish lockers and maintain inventory as needed.
• Identify and highlight potential service issues or improvement opportunities to the Team Leader.
• Follow all agreed processes, site regulations and contractual procedures.

Required profile

• Security Check (SC) clearance is mandatory.
• Available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5:00 pm.
• Contract period from 22 June 2026 to 30 September 2026.

What we offer

• Umbrella rate of £19.33 per hour (via approved umbrella company).
• PAYE basic rate of £14.90 per hour.
