Apartment Host – Event Operations

About the role

The Hoxton Edinburgh, its first hotel in Scotland, is looking for an Apartment Host to report to the Events Operations Manager. The role creates and delivers unforgettable experiences for guests using the hotel's event space, from business meetings to social occasions, and is hands-on in the spaces. It is an operational role covering the setup, running and wrap-up of day and evening meetings and events.

Key responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for delegates, welcoming them and making them feel at ease
• Make sure the space looks perfect from opening until closing
• Keep meeting rooms maintained and set up correctly, and handle billing and check-in/check-out for events
• Work closely with the groups and events team and the wider hotel team
• Deliver a welcoming experience, from a Hox welcome to answering questions and handling requests
• Handle cash and card payments and help the team on the floor
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively solve problems

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy front-of-house role
• Passion for hospitality and a desire to make people feel welcome
• Positive, unpretentious attitude and willingness to try new things
• Ability to build lasting relationships with guests
