Receptionist

About the role

The Hoxton Edinburgh, its first hotel in Scotland, is looking for a guest-oriented, detail-focused Receptionist to report to the Front Office Manager. You will greet, guide and delight guests, giving them a friendly, helpful and responsive service that treats each person as an individual.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and make them feel welcome, dealing with arrivals and departures and checking that all bills are correct.
• Work with all teams to keep the hotel busy and help the Front Office Manager with overbooking levels.
• Keep data accurate in all systems and provide the daily reports required by standard operating procedures.
• Answer phones, handle requests and give guests recommendations on shows and restaurants in the area.

Required profile

• Experience with Opera Cloud or a similar front desk operating system.
• Passion for hospitality and for exceeding guest expectations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A positive, helpful attitude and a willingness to try new things.
