Asbestos Site Auditor and Trainer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Asbestos Site Auditor and Trainer to join our DCUK Central Team. The role is field‑based, covering the South and South‑East of the UK with national travel, and reports directly to the Compliance Director.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous on‑site asbestos compliance audits across active projects, including high‑profile sites such as Electricity North West and National Grid.
• Perform peer reviews and quality governance of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to support our HSE licence.
• Deliver UKATA‑approved asbestos training, Fit‑to‑Fit face‑fit tests and NVQ assessments to internal teams and external customers.
• Provide additional safety training on Manual Handling and Abrasive Wheels.
• Review site documentation, liaise with contract managers, supervisors and clients to build strong professional relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an auditing role within the licensed asbestos industry.
• Extensive knowledge of working with regulators such as HSE.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver UKATA asbestos training and consultative advice.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel nationwide.
• Willingness to undergo a satisfactory DBS check.

Required skills

• P405 Asbestos Certificate (or equivalent).
• UKATA Approved Trainer qualification (preferred).
• WAMITAB Level 4 – Oversight of an Asbestos Waste Transfer Station (preferred).
• Strong IT literacy for reporting and documentation.
• In‑depth knowledge of UK health & safety legislation relating to asbestos.
