Assistant Estimator Administrator – Gas Installation

About the role

This full‑time, office‑based position supports the Gas Installation Department by preparing quotations, processing orders and maintaining accurate job records. You will work closely with Surveyors, Supervisors and Installation Engineers to ensure projects move smoothly from estimate to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Review and edit property survey reports to confirm accuracy and feasibility.
• Update job records, calculate material requirements and operative hours for scheduling.
• Apply appropriate schedule‑of‑rate codes to each installation project.
• Generate customer quotations using company templates and issue them promptly via email.
• Process purchase orders for both planned and same‑day material needs.
• Manage incoming emails, respond to client queries and maintain up‑to‑date internal records.
• Provide general administrative support to the Gas Installation team.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks that improve departmental performance and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an administrative, scheduling or coordination role.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented yet capable of working independently.
