About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support reactive maintenance, voids and disrepair projects within the social housing sector. The role involves assessing repair needs in both occupied and empty homes and assisting with subcontractor management.
Key responsibilities
- Assess repair requirements for occupied and vacant social housing units.
- Prepare and evaluate cost estimates for reactive maintenance and voids projects.
- Manage subcontractor quotations and payments.
- Ensure work complies with the NHF Schedule of Rates.
- Support the preparation of tender documentation and cost reports.
- Monitor project progress and meet tight deadlines.
Required profile
- Experience on commercial repairs & maintenance contracts.
- Experience in social housing (preferred) or reactive maintenance/voids contracts.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible attitude to workload and tasks.
- Experience with managing subcontractors and payments.
