Branch Manager - BSS Bristol

About the role

BSS, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is hiring a Branch Manager for its Bristol branch (St Philips). The role leads a team of sales, drivers and warehouse staff, drives sales and profit targets and upholds high customer service standards. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, with no weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Build lasting relationships with customers and suppliers to grow profitable business
• Manage the full operation of the branch, including safety standards, efficient storage and a positive customer experience
• Control sales, margin and overheads to exceed targets
• Lead a Stay Safe culture and promote a healthy, positive workplace
• Motivate and develop a collaborative, high-performing team

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role or as an Assistant Branch Manager
• Proven leadership ability and commercial awareness of business and financial performance
• Excellent communicator and negotiator, comfortable working independently
• Organised, able to plan and prioritise workload

Required skills

• Proficiency in IT for day-to-day tasks
• Able to interpret basic financial and statistical data for decision-making
