Business Development Executive

About the role

Join CPM as a Business Development Executive representing Diageo’s leading drinks brands in the off‑trade retail sector. You will work across a wide territory in and around Chelmsford, visiting major grocery multiples to increase brand awareness and maximise in‑store opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Visit off‑trade retailers such as ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons to promote brands like Smirnoff, Guinness and Gordon’s.
• Advise store stakeholders on promotions, ensure agreed shelf space and displays are in place, and use data to monitor stock levels.
• Develop bespoke business plans, make recommendations to store managers and report activities via a tablet.

Required profile

• Motivated sales professional with a passion for the drinks industry.
• Tenacious, commercially minded and able to analyse in‑store data.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Required skills

• Excellent relationship‑building and influencing abilities.
• Ability to use tablet‑based reporting tools.
