Class 2 Driver

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join its growing fleet in Portsmouth. You will be responsible for collecting waste from designated locations, ensuring safe handling and timely delivery. This full‑time position offers a structured schedule with occasional Saturday work.

Key responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection points and empty multiple waste containers.
• Lift and handle bins of varying weights and sizes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks in line with the driver operator handbook.
• Enter route and collection data into the onboard system and submit paperwork each day.
• Comply with all traffic laws, load security regulations and weight limits.
• Maintain a clean carriageway, cleaning any spillages promptly.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Up‑to‑date CPC or Digi‑card certification.
• Willingness to work up to 48 hours per week, Monday‑Friday with one in four Saturdays.
• Reliability and commitment to safety and environmental standards.
