Class 2 Driver – PM Shifts

About the role

Join Veolia’s growing fleet as a Class 2 Driver on PM shifts, delivering essential waste collection services across Portsmouth. You will work evenings and nights, contributing to a cleaner environment and supporting local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and empty multiple waste containers.
• Lift bins of all sizes and weights safely.
• Perform daily vehicle checks according to the driver operator handbook.
• Enter route information into the onboard system and submit paperwork each day.
• Comply with traffic laws, load security, and weight regulations.
• Maintain a clean carriageway, cleaning any spillages promptly.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Up‑to‑date CPC/Digi card.
• Willingness to work up to 48 hours per week, Monday‑Friday evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Required skills

• Ability to operate a heavy‑goods vehicle safely.
• Basic record‑keeping and data entry on the vehicle’s system.

What we offer

• On‑target earnings up to £62,000 per year (including base salary of £39,835.85).
