Concrete Technical Manager

About the role

The Mick George Group is seeking a Concrete Technical Manager to lead the technical performance of its concrete operations. You will ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards while developing mix designs and supporting site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, ISO 9001, EN206, BSI Kite Mark and QSRMC standards.
• Monitor all technical aspects of concrete sites, including batch records and sampling rates.
• Develop, review and update concrete mix designs.
• Investigate and resolve technical complaints, providing monthly reports to senior management.
• Liaise with admixture suppliers to optimise cost‑effective mix performance.
• Update Ready Minder with mix designs for quoting and batching systems.
• Support Cemfloor orders to minimise placement risk.
• Participate in site visits when technical assistance is required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in concrete technology or a related construction field.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, EN206 and BSI accreditation requirements.
• Ability to interpret specifications and produce accurate mix designs.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
