Escalator Engineer – Night Shift – Greater London

About the role

Stannah is seeking experienced Escalator Engineers to join its night‑shift team covering Greater London, including Gatwick and Stansted rail stations. You will maintain and repair a variety of high‑profile escalator and moving‑walkway systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation across busy transport hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, urgent repairs and call‑outs on escalators and moving walkways from multiple manufacturers.
• Carry out thorough risk assessments and complete site log cards for every visit.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service delivery and customer care.
• Work 12‑hour night shifts (19:00‑07:00) on a 4‑on‑4‑off roster.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KONE TM, RTV and RTK escalators.
• Experience with Schindler 9300, Anlev and Otis 506 NCE equipment.
• Mechanical fault‑finding.
• Electrical fault‑finding.
• Risk assessment and site documentation.
