Financial Controller – Business Planning & Analysis

About the role

Join an award‑winning multidisciplinary consulting engineering practice in London, working on a hybrid basis with a national team of around 150 professionals. You will help shape project financial control, ensure data integrity, and support the company’s sustainability‑focused strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project financial controls, reporting processes and performance monitoring.
• Provide clear analysis, challenge, guidance and decision support to senior stakeholders.
• Design and track operational and strategic KPIs for day‑to‑day performance and long‑term planning.
• Improve reporting tools, business information systems and performance‑management processes.

Required profile

• Finance professional with strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical capability.
• Experience in business control, project control, commercial finance or FP&A within an engineering consultancy or similar project‑based environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Qualified or near‑qualified (MEng, MBA, CA Inter, CMA) and proactive, curious about innovation.

Required skills

• Python (or similar data‑processing tools).
