Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global real estate organisation to hire a commercially focused Financial Controller for their London finance team. This permanent, high‑visibility position offers exposure to financial control, statutory reporting, audit management, and business partnering across a complex multi‑entity group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial control activities across a complex group structure.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee statutory reporting and Companies House filings.
• Coordinate relationships with external auditors, including Deloitte.
• Support annual Group Audit and Half‑Year Audit processes.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial reporting under IFRS.
• Maintain robust financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Partner with senior finance and operational stakeholders.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives in reporting and control environments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting as required.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualified.
• Strong financial control and technical accounting background.
• Proven experience managing statutory reporting and external audits.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and group reporting.
• Experience in complex, multi‑entity organisations, preferably in real‑estate or asset‑heavy sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach in a fast‑paced environment.
